Cognor HSJ Branch in Stalowa Wola (HSJ) was established as a result of organisational and ownership changes, is part of the Polish group COGNOR S.A. and builds on 75 years of tradition in producing high-quality steels and rolled products. In a year, we produce approx. 250 different types of steels and steel varieties in a continuous casting machine and in cast-iron forms. Steel produced in the continuous casting machine accounts for approx. 95% of total steel output. Steel produced in the continuous casting machine is mainly used for producing long items: square billets, square slabs, round bars and steel sheets. The full type and dimension catalogue of products, encompassing ingots from the continuous casting machine, ingots from cast-iron forms, long and flat goods, covers approx. 11000 items. We deliver products in Poland and abroad, for the automotive, mining, construction, machine and defence industries.

The high quality of our products is confirmed by numerous certificates and recognitions from leading classification societies as regards procedures applied in producing and handing over steel, semi-finished products and bars. HSJ  has introduced an integrated quality and workplace management system fulfilling ISO 9001:2008 standards.

The company’s effectively implemented growth strategy, involvement of its staff and use of the latest technologies and management methods mean that HSJ today produces approx. 200 000 tonnes of products, with over 600 employees.
